We invite you to learn about the makings of Help-You-Build of America, Inc. (HYB). The company was incorporated February 15, 1999, but the roots of the company date back 28 years when Steven G. Anderson first obtained a registered residential contractor’s license (he finally heeded his mother’s urging, we said “urging,” not “nagging”).

Hello, I’m Steven G. Anderson, the president and CEO of HYB. I would like to introduce you to the rest of the leadership team, co-owners, Linda K. Reel, attorney at law, and Dion Campbell, state certified contractor and qualifier for HYB.

I am a designer, developer, builder, and formerly licensed registered residential contractor offering over 32 years of construction experience, beginning with my family-owned building business in Ohio. I moved to Florida in 1974. Though my mother has recently passed away, I proudly mention that she was one of the first ten women to receive a residential contractor’s license in Florida.

Before beginning my first building business in 1980, I gained corporate experience working with companies such as Lowe’s, and there I earned recognition as salesperson of the year. I have worked for multiple construction companies including Showcase Homes, Perma Built Homes, Continental Homes, Complete Interiors, and former U.S. Homes. I have over 100,000 hours of direct sales, design, framing, building, and related construction experience. My knowledge of all aspects of the residential and commercial building is surpassed by few in the construction industry.

I am a founding member of Suntree United Methodist Church, a former youth director, a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, and a board member of South Orlando Rowing Association. I am uniquely qualified to build and teach construction and have built over $250 million worth of projects.

Linda Reel obtained her law degree from Florida State University in 1994 and is a licensed attorney in Florida and Colorado. I got her started in the building business in 1998. She has been integral in customer relations and interior decorating consults. She currently oversees all financial and legal aspects of HYB. Her latest endeavor is preparation for the upcoming contractor’s exam.

HYB is a member of the Home Builders and Contractors Association of Brevard and was 1st place 2001 Parade of Homes winner in the $350,000 to $400,000 single family category. We have the team and experience to build or help you build or teach you how to build. What we offer is vastly more diverse than any other general contracting company we are aware of.
